On the Ion-Pair Recognition and Indication Features of a Fluorescent Heteroditopic Host Based on a BODIPY Core

2014

A fluorescent heteroditopic host for ion pairs and zwitterionic species has been synthesized. Its affinity towards a series of anions, cations and ion pairs in acetonitrile has been assessed, and the spectroscopic response has been evaluated. Solid–liquid extraction experiments of inorganic salts, α-amino acids and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) into acetonitrile solutions were performed, and the resulting complexes were analyzed by UV/Vis absorption, fluorescence and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The discrimination patterns observed have been rationalized in terms of the molecular topologies of the host and guests.

Study of parameters endogeneous and exogeneous to ordinary Portland ciment influencing hydration of its main phase : tricalcium silicate

2012

This work devoted to study various parameters influencing hydration of silicate phase main Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was performed at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne (ICB). This study is part of the project "Crystal Growth Control" initiated by BASF in order to monitor and provide the best as possible the hydration of Ordinary Portland Cement. The dissolution of alite, like the pure C3S one, is fast in pure water. Speed decreases with deviation from equilibrium and the concentration of aluminates ions in solution. There is also an adsorption on the surface of the aluminum which is into the alite and released by dissolution. Germination and growth of C-S-H has bee…

Improving lipase activity in solvent-free media by interfacial activation-based molecular bioimprinting

1997

Abstract Nine lipases of mammalian, fungal and bacterial origin and two different model reactions, direct esterification and transesterification (alcoholysis), have been used to probe the potential in solvent-free media of the recently reported strategy of interfacial activation-based molecular (bio)imprinting (IAMI) [Mingarro et al., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA , 92 (1995) 3308]. The results demonstrate that the imprinting treatment permits nonaqueous rate accelerations which are lipase-dependent and span in some cases up to higher than two orders of magnitude. For several lipases, the method allows conversion yields after short reaction times (in either of the model reactions assayed) whic…

1991

The polysoaps [CH 2 C(Me)(CO 2 R)] n (R=(CH 2 ) 11 N + Me 2 (CH 2 ) 3 SO 3 − , (CH 2 ) 11 N + Me 2 CH 2 CH 2 OH) are studied. Their aqueous solution properties are strongly influenced by added salts; the surface activity can be modified efficiently by an appropriate choice of ions. The interactions of salts and polyzwitterions observed in solution can be extended to the behaviour in bulk. It enables the preparation of uniform, non crystalline blends containing up to equivalent amounts of inorganic salt and polyzwitterions

Über die polymerisation von acrylnitril mit silbernitrat

1963

The polymerization of acrylonitrile with AgNO3 in bulk and in solution was investigated. Informative kinetic experiments were carried out and it is suggested that a radical mechanism is operative; light acts as a catalyst. A number of inorganic salts and organic nitrates were check…
